Welcome to BGS Photography – My name is Barney, and I am a Rutland family photographer.
I take a natural, relaxed, approach to photographing people, whether it’s families, couples, newborns or events such as Christenings. I don’t really pose people or use props – just document you guys having fun, being you!

Documenting Memories
It’s a cliche, but children really do grow incredibly fast; in the madness of life, it’s easy to forget all of the amazing things you do as a family.
My absolute favourite sessions are to go somewhere, or do an activity, that your family do – I want you to be able to look back on your images in the future and really remember how great family life is.
Uniquely You
Every family is unique; when I take pictures of your family (or event, pet, baby) I want to show you. That’s why, rather than stand awkwardly in a studio, I love to go out to a location you love and watch as you do your thing.
If your favourite place happens to be a beach in the Mediterranean then even better!

Family Life
Families come in all shapes and sizes; the thing that unites them is love. Maybe you all love baking (we do!), maybe you love exploring the woods and building dens – whatever it is, I want to be there to capture it as it happens.
No awkward posing, no trying to contain children to a stool in a studio; just you guys all doing what you love to do as a family, while I document the family moments.
